Multimedia Development Studio
The central studio of the AME center is equipped with Intel multimedia workstations for advanced modeling, encoding and capturing. Current work concentrates on sensing, transmission and presentation tools, and on information summarization, annotation and retrieval tools. Graduate students from Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and the Fine Arts conduct research in the areas of sound localization with the development of a microphone array; mapping of sonification; adaptive media-flow architecture for sensor data, active visual sensing and video analysis; and visualization of archived multimedia files. |
