AME graduate assistant Arina Melkozernova wins
awards for Self-Transparency digital animation.
Arina Melkozernova, a graduate assistant in the Arts, Media and Engineering program
and a graduate student of the Intermedia program in the Herberger College of
Fine Arts has received two awards for her digital animation artwork Self-Transparency.
The Herberger College School of Art awarded Melkozernova with its Nathan Cummings
Travel Fellowship award for 2004. The award provides travel funds for one graduate
student to travel to the destination of his or her choice for purpose of researching
and creating art. Melkozernova will travel to Amsterdam in the summer of 2004
to work on her thesis project.
The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) bestowed its first annual
Individual Creative Excellence (ICE) award for 2004 on Melkozernova in
the Graphic and Animation/Student
category. Self-Transparency was chosen by industry leaders as a premier example
of digital artwork from one of the country’s best and brightest digital
media artists.
